                            Phuket and Bangkok

December 26, 2004 in Thailand a major catastrophe happened. Nature took matters into its own hands. Thousand upon thousand of people died when the tsunami struck. Businesses were destroyed, homes were shattered, and families were separated.

Bangkok Thailand is in Southeast Asia. Bangkok is the most phenomal place you can see .This magnificant and glorious countire means the City of Angels. Bangkok was named the capital of thailand in 1782. Like USA the one of the national languages of Thailand is English. Bangkok is the capital of Thailand. The country of Thailand was once named Siam. It has about 8,661,228 million people in the city. Bangkok is the first place people come when arriving in Thailand. An estimated 15 million tourist’s go to Bangkok each year. Bangkok has six different  province boundaries they are Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Chachoengsao, Samut Prakan, Samut Sakhon and Nakhon Pathom. Bangkok is one of Asia's most important air transport hubs. Education is an important part in thailand community. Most of the schools are located in the Bangkok area. Eight of the countries medical schools are located in Bangkok. Bangkok’s government is the largest single employer.

Phuket is one of the most beautiful island provinces in Thailand. Phuket is an island with no land boundaries. Phuket is one of the biggest islands in Thailand. There are many things to do in Phuket like canoeing, elephant trekking, rafting and much more.   It is a very well-known tourist site because of the stunning beach called Patong Beach. A great portion of the population is Buddhist and Muslim. About 250 people, mainlanders and tourist’s were killed on the beach by the tsunami. The most populated beaches with resorts and homes were ruined in an instant.

Phuket and Bangkok are both gorgeous places that went through a terror with the tsunami, but in the end they both are still booming and confident countries. Businesses were reformed, families were reunited, and homes were rebuilt. With all the help and support from other countries, Thailand along with other countries survived. Now in the end both Phuket and Bangkok are still together and stronger than ever before.
